So you’ve almost decided you want to undergo The Perfect Derma™ Peel treatment and you aren’t exactly sure what you should expect. While the process itself isn’t terribly complicated, it is good to know what you are getting yourself into before the procedure takes place. In order to give you a better idea, we, at Med 1 Aesthetics, have put together a guide to what the first week after your Perfect Peel treatment will be like. Continue reading to learn more.

Days One & Twodreamstime_xxl_49510749

The day after you get the Perfect Peel your skin is likely to feel relatively tight and it may also appear a little darker than usual. You should also stick to the parameters given to you by the provider of your peel. This includes not washing, touching, rubbing or applying makeup to your face for the first six hours that follow your treatment. At the end of days one and two, you can wash your face and then wipe it with the post-treatment towelette, leaving the solution from the towelette on overnight.

Days Three, Four & Five

You will likely start experiencing peeling on day three. When this does begin to happen, be sure to apply the Perfect Peel moisturizer to the areas that are peeling every two to three hours. This will also alleviate the tightness you are feeling in your face. Continue to gently wash the treated area both in the morning and at night. Keep in mind to continue to stay out of the sun as much as you can.

Day Six & Beyond

By day six, you should no longer be experiencing peeling. At this point, you can return to your normal skin care regimen. If, however, the treated area does become irritated when you do start using your normal cleansing products, give your skin a few more days to recover.
